Hi @protonprivacy. I don't expect you to, or at all want you to, be able to see any info about any of the accounts people set up on your service. But do you have any rules for who can use your services? The account norwaycrew are nazis. I don't expect you to know that already of course, but will you ban it now that you know?
Here's a poster they made with this account name on it: https://www.reddit.com/r/oslo/comments/1fljoqc/nazistfestival_i_osloomr%C3%A5det/
Here's a legitimate news source writing about the event https://filternyheter.no/tysk-nazi-rapper-stoppet-pa-vei-til-hoyreekstrem-festival-pa-ostlandet/
Thanks!
@forteller We're sorry to hear that, you can report abuse directly at: https://proton.me/support/report-abuse
I don't want to indicate/promise/say what Proton will or should do .... But years ago there were some angry folks making lots of fuzz on Reddit and Twitter (before I left both sites) throwing lots of trash about Proton for closing their accounts "completely out of the blue!" ... And it became clear after a bit they did break the ToS and it was discovered through people who reported those accounts to Proton.
Not that it helped the mood of these folks ... But it was the right action for the right reasons in those cases
... and then Proton moved on, which annoyed some of these dumb****s even more.
So I encourage anyone to report accounts abusing Protons services via Protons report form. It's the only way to stop it ... Any kind of abuse must be stopped quickly. And! Breaking the ToS is not related to privacy or freedom of speech. In fact all users need to accept the ToS when signing up. Break the agreement and you're out.
@protonprivacy Nazis or hate groups does not seem to be mentioned in your ToS, so I don't know if they are breaching it?
Wouldn't this cover that?
