Although the Nonprofit Industrial Complex has some sophisticated gatekeepers barring access, I've renewed my efforts to find San Francisco Bay Area cooperators interested in my proposed nonprofit for unique S.T.E.A.M.-focused ArtScience demonstration projects that serve the common good.

While general participants are welcome, I need the commitment of board-level founders.

You remember these glasses from your last trip to #France, I guess. Here’s the interesting story: Duralex, the manufacturer, was heading for liquidation. Investors that wanted to buy it existed, but they wanted to fire a lot of employees. So the court agreed to a different solution: create a cooperative, make Duralex workers owned. Now give them a hand and buy their glasses instead of the typical IKEA stuff, ok? :) eu.duralex.com/en-eu/collectio

In the 1970s Quebec passed a law providing universal child care, but with an interesting caveat: the government would *only* pay cooperatively run childcare centers. If you wanted feudal childcare, you had to pay for it yourself. #cooperative

I pledge that when I ask for money for work, I will NOT:
- work for a boss
- be a boss
- let myself be exploited
- exploit or cheat anyone else
- do subpar work or stuff I don't believe in just for money
- use or support ads, tracking, LLMs or other privacy-/rights-violating software or similar (including yet-to-be-invented) technologies
- create artificial scarcity or tacitly support it
- make my services too expensive for people who need them

Instead I will work for donations or with a sliding scale so people pay according to their means.

Looking for input and expertise in **how to legally co-own a multigenerational family home** where seven of us live.

Two married couples with kiddos, plus a mother-in-law, all on the same property, living in what is essentially a single unit.

Our goals:
* giving all parties a fair share of home equity, given that one of us paid more for down payment and the rest of us pay for mortgage;
* minimizing complication + taxes when oldest person passes away;
* not paying a ton of money to a lawyer to handle this
* still able to put some/all of our land into conservation, eventually

Ideas:
Tenants in common with a co-ownership agreement? A complex trust? A coop or LLC?

EDIT: I'm in Massachusetts, USA
