Looks like Red Squirrel put on some lipstick .
It's just that they have orange front teeth that never stop growing. Their enamel contains iron that makes them strong enough to gnaw on hard foods like nuts.

Ein bezauberndes Wäldchen und betörendes Licht.

These desert furnace ants- Forelius maccooki- normally run so quickly they are difficult to photograph. But they will pause and pose briefly at their nest entrance, allowing a few decent shots. Tucson, Arizona.

This season has been tough for shooting waterfowl. Since November I have been plagued by boaters, kayakers, police, droughts, ice and mud like quicksand but didn’t give up. LOL. I got this shot of a Female Common Merganser on Tuesday and I really like it. I hope you do too!

The moon through the trees last January. Overcast skies thwarted my hopes of capturing the lunar eclipse last night, but it’s nice to be reminded that the moon is gorgeous anytime.
