Every moment I continue to use Windows pushes me harder to abandoning it for Linux. Windows fucking Designer, WTF is that? Yes, I know, its some AI crap...
A web search takes me to Microsoft pages that won't let me browse backwards.
Seriously, Microsoft...I'm actually trying to do everything I can to talk myself into continuing to use you, but its just not working...

Its not me, its you.

Now that I am seriously planning to move away from Windows I am starting a checklist on what is absolutely essential for me to work on Linux. Would anyone have a good recommendation to a good replacement for - sigh - Animate CC?

It need to be as close as possible - animation tool with a vectorial approach but that can also import bitmaps and work with those as well. Oh yeah, it also definitely need to be able to export videos and stills.

My #AudioInterface appears to have made its final #BonkWave offering as it won't hold sample rate any more. What am I to consider for my next option for #ElectronicMusic production under #Windows with an eye towards moving to #Linux (or #DualBoot )? I use #Bitwig #VCVRack and less often #Reason. I'd like 4-6 I/O 24-bit 48kHz is fine. I am looking at the MOTU M4 as I have used the same brand (and interface) for my own #music for more than 25 years.

@thelinuxEXP I've been using #waterfox and have been loving it! But the desktop version keeps crashing. That might just be because my computer is trying to off itself with an undiagnosable memory leak... #windows sucks... Switching soon!

Still, competition is good. I'm especially interested in #floorp and #ZenBrowser. #ladybirdbrowser has also recently come up on my radar, but I think having mobile cross compatibility is what'll interest me the most.

When I turn on my work computer at work to do work, I am greeted by Microsoft trying to convince me to do "fun, point-earning activities" for "Microsoft Rewards".

No, Windows 11, I didn't come here and booted you up to do "fun, point-earning activities". I am here to do "plain, money-earning activities", also known as my job.

This is the professional, corporate OS, not that unprofessional, pesky Linux over there...

My survey showed that most users are not happy with the browser that comes with their computers. If you are using one of those browsers, how about trying something new?

Does your browser have workspaces? Tab stacks? Tab tiles? Windows panel? Page capture? Sync? Custom themes with custom buttons? Web panels? Mouse gestures? Editable keyboard shortcuts?

Want to try a browser that has all of the above and more?

"Come to the dark side, load Linux" we say.

Consumers: "No, no, we prefer the adware loaded OS, really. We only trust large corporations, Microsoft loves us. Please give us AI, and I like the advertising in my Start Menu. It will even be better occupying my screen! How dare you suggest a non-corporate OS!!"
