Every day I wonder when the MAGA administration will just start ignoring what judges tells them to do. I see no reason to believe this day will not come some time soon. I hope I'm wrong, but why would they not ignore it? The judicial doesn't have an army to enforce their judgements.
@forteller They still want to maintain a facade of being legitimate. Very openly defying the courts could lose them enough support in the house and Senate to risk impeachment. Instead they delay, try very slightly different approaches to do the same thing and yell about illegitimate court decisions, riling up their supporters. They also appeal everything and can potentially win some cases in the biased Supreme Court, so fully ignoring court decisions at this point is an unnecessary risk.
@forteller Maybe… if they start ignoring judges, and that adds fuel to the rising number of angry conservatives, and Musk and Trump pay a very high price? Have you seen the videos of Republican voters showing up to hear Sanders and Walz? It’s breathtaking!
They will probably wait until they can purge and take full control over the judicial branch. They don't want most people to realize that their coup is happening. Like in Russia they will keep a fasade of democracy...
